Fans had been anticipating the dibs on the "Aquaman" villains and the wait is finally over. It was recently revealed through Warner Bros on who's new to the cast of the upcoming movie. Playing ORM, Patrick Wilson has been the first villain character announced for the upcoming DCM film.

Marvel Comics Similarities

Like that of Marvel Comics Universe, ORM is one of the "Aquaman" villains that would go against his half-brother, the main character played by Jason Momoa, Aquaman. Also, known as the Ocean Master, ORM is the human supervillain in the franchise who, unlike Loki, is more powerful and temperamental.

Thor's half-brother, Loki, was seen in the Marvel Comics Universe as that one sibling who is hungry for the throne. ORM's role as one of the "Aquaman" villains share this same sibling-rivalry element against the main character who had been lodged to be more disagreeable as he wreaked havoc over the seas and beneath them when he does not get what he wants, reported Deadline.

Cast Updates

To play ORM is Patrick Wilson who was seen in the "Conjuring" franchise as the husband who performed exorcisms. He also partook a role in "The Hollow Point" and was lodged as the romantic rival to Ray Kroc in the upcoming film "The Founder."

ORM's role as one of the "Aquaman" villains is an Atlantis resident who grew up on the surface with his human father, Orm, who spent his years in Atlantis as well. Because his existence had been unknown until he inherited the Atlantean throne as the firstborn of Aquaman's mother, he was extremely jealous of his brother.

On other news, it was revealed that other than ORM, the "Aquaman" villains will also be joined by Black Manta. Although there hasn't been an official announcement as to who would play the character, Wilson's role is a sure thing already.

"Aquaman" villains will go against Jason Momoa's character in the upcoming film to release this coming Oct. 5, 2018.
