Netflix might already have an awesome Marvel lineup this year, especially since "Iron Fist" and "The Defenders" are already expected to premiere in 2017. But is it possible that "Jessica Jones" Season 2 is also preparing for an earlier air date? Krysten Ritter might already be filming for the followup on her Netflix series.

"Jessica Jones" Season 2 is certainly one of the most highly anticipated shows on Netflix but the series is not expected to air until 2018. However, there are speculations that Krysten Ritter is already shooting for her solo series while still working on "The Defenders".

It has previously been reported that Krysten Ritter is already working on "The Defenders". The actress has even been photographed on the set with "Daredevil" Season 3 actor Charlie Cox, who portrays Matt Murdock. Interestingly, Ritter has already admitted that "Jessica Jones" Season 2 will be filmed as soon as "The Defenders" is completed.

Krysten Ritter admitted to Digital Spy that she will be working on "The Defenders" and "Jessica Jones" Season 2 "back-to-back". The actress admitted that she is uncertain whether production on the two shows will "overlap" but did share that she is already preparing for her return as the heroine through "weight training and boxing." It is still unclear whether Krysten Ritter has already started filming for "Jessica Jones" Season 2 but the actress is certainly working on "The Defenders".

Nevertheless, there are speculations that Ritter's solo series will begin production soon in preparation for an early 2018 air date. Netflix has not yet announced an air date for "The Defenders" or "Jessica Jones" Season 2. Hopefully, the streaming giant will provide an update on both shows before the premiere of "Iron Fist" in March. In the meantime, Krysten Ritter is set to appear in the upcoming film "The Hero" later in 2017.
